this is me … a little crazy, a little judgemental and a lot imperfect |
I don’t think I’ll post here anymore. But I’ll try and start again and you can visit me here.
Olive Oyl is always either double dating Popeye and Bluto or leaving Popeye for Bluto and yet, he always takes her back. Now that’s love.
Also, have you ever noticed all the funny things they mumble when the boys are fighting or during any general excitement? It’s really kinda funny.
Finally had another dinner that Rad ate quite well. I cut him up some Gardenburger BBQ riblets and steamed up some broccoli for him to dip into some cheese. He ate everything. Yay!!!
Late this morning, I was making lunch and the kids were in the living room. Apparently, River had found a small receipt under the chair or something and was sucking on it like infants do. Rad, being a good big brother, saw this and pulled it out of her mouth and then pushed it all away from her and out of reach. Upon hearing him say “Yuk. Sissy, you can’t have that in your mouth” I went to investigate and thus comes the story.
My Singapore plumeria tree is suffering from a whitefly infestation. It’s not become a serious infestation yet, and they’ve just treated it this morning, but I still fear I’ll lose this beautiful tree. I noticed it the other day and called grounds management who came by yesterday to check it out. Apparently, this year has been especially bad with these insects. I wonder what it’s doing to crops.
I’ve finally found the motivation to get out and run!! About a month ago or so, I found my double jogger at a yard sale but had some … uh … issues when I went out to use it. With all the damage caused by River’s delivery, I had some trouble for about three months or so with the muscles in *that* area. So, the first time I tried to take the jogger out I thought I was going to have an accident. A number one and number two accident.
But all’s well now and I’ve been out all week. Well, I ran Thursday, walked Friday since I had dinner a little late, Ran Saturday, didn’t go out Sunday and ran tonight. I try to have dinner really early and get out the door by seven or seven thirty at the latest. It’s a bit too dark for my comfort if I go too late. Then I have a salad for a snack when I get home.
Yay for me!!! I don’t want to have a bowl full of jelly when Ian comes home.
We’ve added a new product to our vegetarian pantry … er … freezer. Tonight, we tried Morning Star Farms Chik’n Nuggets. They’re really quite good! We were very dissatisfied with their meal starters chik’n strips, so I was a little skeptical about trying their other products. So … we’ll stay away from the meal starters but continue to try their stuff. It’s unfortunate that I have to make a special trip to the health food store just for the veggie chicken strips that I like.
Anyway, the change is going over fairly smoothly. I’m still working on finding ways to make vegetable dishes that Raden will eat. Like most toddlers, he doesn’t like to eat his veggies. We’re working on it.
Doin some housework and rockin out to a rather diverse playlist. James Brown’s Sex Machine just came on and I found Raden in the office shakin his bootie and dancin all around. Awesome! He digs the funk.
